Hero of the month

Romina is a champion who fights day after day against Leukemia.
Get to know her story!

Romina is an 8-year-old, diagnosed with Leukemia. She has spent many days, accompanied by her father, admitted to the Pediatric Oncology Unit at Hospital Vall d’Hebron being treated.

Fernando, her father, tells us that during the long days in the hospital what he thought about the least is the chair in which he spends so many hours, but if the relatives could rest better if the rooms were individual and had their own bathroom. It would be much more comfortable for the visitors if the rooms were better organized and let in light from outside, if there were areas for the children to do some exercise, to read, study, rest, and play, without a doubt the hospital stay would be a little more bearable.

Dear Romina and Fernando, we will do everything in our power to make the children and teenagers admitted and their families feel that the hospital seems more of a safe haven, a little closer to home, we are sure you will love the new Pediatric Oncology and Hematology area of Vall d'Hebron Hospital.
